Connecticut Physical Therapists introduces Redcord Work Station
On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 Connecticut Physical Therapy Specialists (CTPTS) invited the people of Granby and nearby communities to celebrate the business’s first year in town. David Bostic, PT, own and director of CTPTS, demonstrated the Record Professional Work Station, a revolutionary new piece of exercise equipment that is making CTPTS a destination for state-of-the-art care. Exercising with sling suspension provides neurological activation (NEUR-AC) and creates a perfect environment to reduce pain and improve muscle function. CTPTS is the first physical therapy clinic in Connecticut to use Redcord, and is among approximately 50 physical therapy centers nationwide to adopt this innovative treatment system.
“Redcord equipment compliments our manual approach for therapy patients and provides enormous benefit for posture and alignment performance for fitness training clients as well,” said Bostic. “Record is an incredibly innovative, effective tool that helps us continue to provide the high-quality level of care our patients expect.” Donna-Marie Christie, MD added, “I refer patients to CTPTS because they have a great experience and see amazing results in one-on-one personal environment.” Record offers medically integrated exercise programs to facilitate the return back to and active lifestyle. Supported by over 20 years of scientific research and clinical applications, Record tools and training methods are designed to keep a person healthy across a lifespan, bridging the gaps between physical therapy, fitness and high-performance athletics. This equipment increases the effectiveness of rehabilitation and helps clients to meet fitness goals faster than ever.
Since opening in Granby last year, employers and patients are responding enthusiastically to the CTPTS commitment to evidence-based treatment and excellent patient care. The Redcord Work Station is the newest example of this client-centered approach. “You can rely on the therapists at CTPTS to provide excellent care with integrity, compassion and professionalism. I have had nothing but uniformly positive feedback from my patients and have heard similar comments from fellow physicians,” states Stephen Kei, MD.
“As we recognize the unique needs of each individual we work with, we are increasingly successful with both our pediatric and geriatric patients,” reports Dr. Lisa Garcia, PT, DPT a CTPTS physical therapist.
“Exercise has never been a favorite activity of mine, but i enjoy coming here and am even inspired to practice the exercise i learned! i struggled with arthritis in my knee for years, but now i’m learning to use and develop muscles throughout my body to give my knees less stress. it is really working and i feel great,” says client Susan P. from Granby.
