Remembering Colin
At Connecticut Physical Therapy Specialists, our purpose has always been to help people move forward. It is with profound sadness—and even greater gratitude—that we remember someone who helped move this practice, and all of us, forward every single day.
Colin Tavis Bostic was far more than a member of our organization. He was family.
As Business Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Connecticut Physical Therapy Specialists, Colin quietly guided the growth and stability of our practice with wisdom, integrity, and remarkable dedication. While much of his work happened behind the scenes, its impact was felt in every clinic, every employee, and every patient we were privileged to serve.
Those who worked alongside Colin knew that his greatest strengths were not found in spreadsheets or financial reports. They were found in his character.
He possessed a calm confidence, a generous spirit, and an uncommon ability to make thoughtful decisions even during challenging times. He listened carefully, spoke honestly, and always sought solutions that served people before profits.
The Man We Knew
Above every professional accomplishment, Colin was devoted to his family.
He was a loving husband and an extraordinary father to Tavis and Vera. He cherished being a dad and embraced the simple joys of family life with enthusiasm, patience, and unconditional love.
He was also a devoted son, a proud brother, and a loyal friend whose kindness extended naturally to everyone around him.
Whether helping a coworker solve a problem, encouraging a friend, or quietly stepping in whenever someone needed assistance, Colin lived with humility and generosity. He never sought recognition, yet earned the respect of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
His life demonstrated that true leadership is measured not by titles, but by the way we care for others.
Stories That Continue to Make Us Smile
The memories we treasure most are often the ordinary moments.
The conversations in the clinic.
The laughs after a long day.
The willingness to help without ever being asked.
The steady presence that made difficult situations feel manageable.
Colin had a gift for bringing calm into complexity. He believed problems could be solved, people deserved respect, and every challenge was easier when faced together.
Those qualities continue to shape the culture of Connecticut Physical Therapy Specialists.
His Legacy at CTPTS
Every organization develops its character through the people who build it.
Colin helped build ours.
His commitment to integrity, accountability, humility, and genuine care continues to influence how we serve our patients, support one another, and make decisions as a practice.
When we strive to do what is right rather than what is easy…
When we place people before convenience…
When we remember that every patient who walks through our doors deserves compassion…
…we are continuing a legacy Colin helped establish.
Though his chair sits empty, his influence remains present every day.
A Life Remembered
Colin Tavis Bostic was born on July 9, 1984, and passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026.
A graduate of Windsor High School and Eastern Connecticut State University, with additional studies at the University of Connecticut, Colin built a career distinguished by professionalism, integrity, and quiet excellence.
He served as Chief Financial Officer and Business Manager for Connecticut Physical Therapy Specialists, where he played an instrumental role in the organization’s growth while earning the admiration of coworkers, physicians, patients, and business partners alike.
Above all else, Colin will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, beloved brother, trusted colleague, loyal friend, and a man whose life reflected kindness, humility, and unwavering love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lindsay; his children, Tavis Henry and Vera Jean; his parents; his brother Wesley and family; and countless relatives, friends, and colleagues who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
From David J. Bostic
There are no words that fully express what it means to lose a son.
Colin was one of the greatest gifts of our life. We were proud to call him our son, but even prouder to know the man he became.
Every day we see reminders of him—in our family, in our grandchildren, in this practice, and in the countless lives he quietly touched.
We miss him beyond words.
Yet we remain profoundly grateful for the forty-one years we shared together.
If there is one lesson Colin continues to teach us, it is that love does not end when life does. Love continues in memory, in
service, in family, and in the way we choose to care for one another.
Thank you for remembering him with us.
